POSITION OVERVIEW

The Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Coach will be responsible for planning and direct supervision of daily team activities, including in-season and out-of-season contact within MIAA and BHS policies. The position reports to the Director of Athletics and the program head coach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pre-Season Attend coaches’ meetings (school) Complete all necessary HR paperwork/training Assist in monitoring registration and clearance Check equipment inventory and make any requests to AD Check uniform inventory Work with Assist AD on practice/competition scheduling Request transportation through Athletic Dept Read Athletic Handbook and ask AD for any clarification of policies, etc. Attend meet the coaches night for families Provide first week schedule to Assistant AD Review website for any changes In Season Set up time with Equipment Manager to distribute uniforms/equipment Confirm eligibility of students Plan practice sessions accordingly, communicate schedule at least 2 weeks in advance Coordinate with Athletic Trainer for any athlete injuries and return to play Ride bus to and from away contests – possibly drive school van Communicate schedule and any announcements with families via weekly email update Assist with any scheduling changes and communication of them to players/families Keep accurate records of scores, report scores to AD and/or media Keep attendance daily Communicate any issues with AD Post-Season Set up time with Equipment Manager to collect uniforms in full – lead this process Have students complete Athletic Dept survey Let Administrative Assistant know if any student did not return any uniform or equipment Confirm final roster and wellness credit eligibility Have end of season meeting with head coach of program Have closeout meetings with each studentn Make recommendations to AD on equipment needs for following year

QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED

Knowledge of MIAA Rules and Policies Concussion awareness training certification CPR/AED certification Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED
