HR & Payroll Analyst

SUMMARY
The HR & Payroll Analyst is responsible for managing payroll operations and supporting key HR functions, including payroll accounting, labor cost analysis, HRIS administration, 401(k) administration and audits, leave and offboarding processes, workers’ compensation, compliance reporting, and HR analytics. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains data integrity, supports regulatory compliance, and provides HR and labor cost insights to support business decision-making.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Payroll Administration: Administer and process full-time, part-time, and expatriate payroll, including regular payroll cycles, final pay, manual checks, payroll adjustments, allowances, incentives, and payroll-related transactions for leaves of absence and terminations.
Payroll Accounting & Labor Cost Analysis: Manage payroll reconciliations, General Ledger (GL) reporting, month-end labor cost and accrual closing, payroll analysis and forecasting, overtime analysis, labor cost reporting, and budget vs. actual analysis.
HRIS & Employee Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS (ADP) and internal database systems, administering applicable system functions and modules.
401(k) Administration: Administer 401(k) programs, including employee enrollments, terminations, account maintenance, payroll contributions, and reconciliations. Support 401(k) audits and ensure accurate records, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Leave, Termination & Offboarding: Administer FMLA and other applicable leaves of absence, manage employee terminations and offboarding processes, coordinate required documentation and final pay, and conduct exit interviews as needed.
Workers' Compensation & Insurance: Administer Workers' Compensation claims and support Commercial General Liability and other insurance-related processes, including renewals, claims, and documentation.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and support federal and state reporting and compliance requirements (including EEOC, California Pay Data, Form 1095-C, Form 5500, EDD/UI/SDI reporting), and assist with internal/external audits.
HR Operations & Analytics: Prepare turnover and HR analytical reports, provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and perform other HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing and administration. (Must)
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required. (Must)
High attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive and confidential data.
Passion for HR and employee development.
Bilingual in English and Korean requited. (Must)
