Payroll Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll operations with accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have solid payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Korean and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.

• Maintain and update payroll records, employee information, and payroll documentation.

• Review payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

• Process payroll adjustments, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and deductions.

• Collaborate with HR and Accounting regarding employee payroll changes.

• Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner.

• Prepare payroll reports and support internal or external audits.

• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing.

• Perform other payroll and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of payroll experience required.

• Business-level proficiency in Korean and English required.

• Experience with payroll systems required; ADP experience is strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food & beverage, restaurant, retail, or manufacturing industry is a plus.

• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
