Staff Accountant

Accounting Professional

Under the supervision of the Controller, we are looking for an accounting professional with interest in general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, Inventory review/audit) cost and manufacturing. Proven analytical and communication skills. Works independently as well as in a team setting, will communicate with various departments within the company.

Assist in multiple phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, prepaids, and closing process

Assist with reconciling and preparing journal entries for month end and year end process

Assist on the accounts receivable side with customer inquiries

Help maintain balance sheet, P&L, and departmental support

Assist with inventory reconciliation, investigate and resolve discrepancies

Analyze perpetual inventory locations for accuracy and valuation through performing cycle count audits

Identifies improvements for internal processes and controls

Assist with preparation of schedules for mid-year and year end audits

Ad hoc analyses and projects, as needed

Understanding of ERP manufacturing system

Advanced Microsoft Office skills strong in Excel.

Excellent communication, strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills required.

Ability to interface with members of other departments and corporate staff.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate both verbally and in writing, in English. The employee is frequently required to move about the office, use a computer, and reach with hands and arms. May be necessary to lift up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision.

This is a full-time hourly position which operates during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

No travel is expected for this position.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Advanced degree and/or related certification a plus
