Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Day Shift
This is a 13-week contract position with a Day 3x12-hour shift from 07:00 to 19:30. Clinicians are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of two years of recent experience in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory therapy within their scope of practice. First-time travelers are welcomed, and candidates may float within the facility as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications.
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of respiratory equipment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS Certification.
- Active New York RRT License required at submission.
- Experience in adult critical care and emergency departments is preferred.
- Competence in various respiratory therapy skills including, but not limited to, extubation, intubation assist, and tracheostomy care.
