Choose from three available positions, each providing unique rewards and challenges:

• High school Living and Learning Classroom, managing a caseload of 17 students
• 4th and 5th grade resource room, with a focus on ELA and Math
• Kindergarten classroom serving a mixed population with diverse disabilities

All roles require an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement, ensuring you’re equipped to provide high-quality, individualized instruction and advocacy.

Desired qualifications:

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 certification
• Proven experience working in special education, ideally with the age group specified for your preferred classroom
• Ability to tailor instruction, adapt curriculum, and implement IEPs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability and creativity in meeting a variety of student needs

In this contract position, you will:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction
• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and administration
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and support plans
