Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, educational aide, or similar support role
• Background working 1:1 with students, especially in a K-12 setting
• Understanding of various learning styles and abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for empowering young learners
• Ability to follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and guidance from certified teachers or specialists
• Relevant certifications or courses in education or child development (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to assigned student(s)
• Facilitate instruction and participation under the guidance of a supervising teacher
• Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined by the education team
• Monitor student progress and assist with transitions between activities or classes
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning space
• Document and report student achievements, concerns, and daily activities as required
• Collaborate with other school staff to maximize student independence and success
