Senior Digital Water Account Executive

Trinnex is seeking a Senior Digital Water Account Executive to join our growing team. Trinnex builds next-generation digital tools and provides services that integrate utility data, business systems, models, geospatial data, and data science to solve complex engineering and environmental challenges.

The Senior Digital Water Account Executive is responsible for building and managing a strong sales pipeline, developing and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth for Trinnex's digital water solutions. This role partners closely with leadership and internal teams to deliver client-focused sales strategies while following established sales processes and reporting requirements.

Preferred location for this role is in the Central US/Great Lakes Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and expansion of existing client relationships.
• Develop and communicate clear value propositions and business outcomes to decision-makers within client organizations.
• Build, manage, and advance a robust sales pipeline across all stages of the sales cycle, including forecasting and revenue tracking.
• Manage client relationships through regular engagement to understand needs, identify opportunities, and ensure long-term partnership growth.
• Translate client needs and pain points into tailored sales strategies for digital and SaaS-based solutions.
• Participate in contract negotiations and support timely resolution of client sales issues.
• Maintain accurate sales activity records, forecasts, and client documentation within the CRM system (Salesforce).
• Partner with leadership to support sales strategies, targets, and market positioning.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and informal training to support team effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong presentation skills and professional presence with the ability to influence and build trust.
• Knowledge of the digital infrastructure market, particularly within the AEC and water/wastewater sectors.
• Familiarity with GenAI, large language models (LLMs), and data science concepts.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with strong planning and time-management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience researching target accounts and executing prospecting campaigns using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
• Advanced interpersonal and collaboration skills, including conflict management and partnership building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Pay Range Min

USD $122,595.00

Pay Range Max

USD $214,510.00

Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.

Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
