Duties

• Collaborate with fellow lead teachers to develop and implement innovative curriculum plans tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
• Engage children through hands-on activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
• Manage classroom routines effectively, utilizing strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and concerns, ensuring transparent, supportive relationships.
• Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to promote inclusive participation and growth.
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications.
• Document lesson plans, assessments, and child progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate to inform instruction and support individual learning goals.

Experience

• Prior experience working directly with young children in early childhood education settings such as preschools or daycare centers.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and childhood development.
• Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Experience working with children with special needs or who require early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and documentation of student progress.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and experience implementing behavior management strategies.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required within 90 days; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are preferred.
