This position has been approved to be full telework.If telework is approved, you are required to work within the State of California only and if partial telework, also come in to the main office in Orange, CA, at least two (2) days per week minimum.The Project Manager II will effectively support all aspects of a project throughout its lifecycle with oversight and direction, including but not limited to the scope, schedule, resources, quality, cost and change. You will be responsible for delivering on small and medium projects running simultaneously that will involve coordination of multiple impacted areas throughout the organization. You will interface and communicate with project stakeholders, representatives of other agencies and vendors during the delivery of the project. Additionally, you will provide project status monitoring and reporting to project stakeholders as required. Project assignments will involve technology and/or business-related initiatives. Together, we are building a stronger, more equitable health system.Your contributions to the team:90% - Project ManagementParticipates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.Ensures that projects are delivered with quality, agreed upon timelines and minimal disruptions due to issues or risks.Manages multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.Creates project charters that include scope and objectives, project resources, known issues and risks, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical and business feasibility and regulatory compliance when appropriate.Develops detailed project plans or tasks with resource assignments, due dates and tracks progress with minimal supervision.Identifies and manages with key project stakeholders any changes to project scope, schedule, and resources using appropriate negotiation skills and escalations as necessary.Manages internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.Measures project performance and proactively works to resolve issues and risks with key project stakeholders.Develops relationships with all stakeholders and works to ensure collaboration amongst the project team.Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation such as status reports, risk/action/issue/decision logs and responds to inquiries about projects.10% - Other - completes other duties as projects as assigned.Do you have what the role requires?Bachelor's degree PLUS 2 years of experience managing projects with low to medium complexity, duration, organizational impact and costs required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.You'll stand out more if you possess the following:Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.2 years of experience working with health care delivery systems and/or in a public agency serving the related population.Your knowledge & abilities to bring to this role:Develop rapport and establish and maintain effective working relationships with CalOptima Health's leadership and staff and external contacts at all levels and with diverse backgrounds.Work independently and exercise sound judgment.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Work a flexible schedule;
