Work Environment

The role of the Physical Therapist Assistant will be conducted in a hospital-based outpatient clinic where you will interact directly with patients, assisting them through various therapeutic exercises and modalities. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and tools to ensure optimal patient care. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, which promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed physical therapy interventions as directed by licensed Physical Therapists, implementing treatment plans with professionalism and efficiency.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, utilizing manual techniques and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and responses to therapy, providing regular updates and recommending adjustments to treatment plans to supervising Physical Therapists.
• Educate and motivate patients regarding their home exercise programs, ensuring they understand proper techniques, posture, and movement habits essential for their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and progress, adhering to clinic standards and compliance regulations.
• Create a warm and inviting atmosphere, fostering strong patient relationships that promote engagement and satisfaction within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, you will predominantly work with a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from orthopedic conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and more. Your contributions will directly support patients as they navigate their recovery journeys, focusing on restoring mobility and enhancing overall physical function.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of an active Virginia PTA license or eligibility to obtain one upon hire.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, new graduates with strong clinical practicum experiences are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including:
