Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting patients and Physical Therapists in various rehabilitation practices. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans, closely following prescribed rehabilitation protocols.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, ensuring proper technique and safety to maximize effectiveness.
• Monitoring patient progress, meticulously documenting improvements, setbacks, and any relevant observations to share with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educating patients and their families on techniques and exercises to be performed outside of therapy sessions, fostering a supportive home environment for recovery.
• Maintaining an organized and clean therapy area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are compliant with health regulations and ready for use.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid physical therapist assistant license in Virginia or eligibility for state licensure.
