Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist is situated in an orthopedic outpatient setting, where you will work collaboratively with a diverse multidisciplinary team. Our spacious rehabilitation facility is equipped with advanced treatment technologies, enabling you to provide effective hands-on therapy. Our typical schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a significant impact on patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for conditions related to orthopedic issues, neurological challenges, and postoperative recovery.
• Implement evidence-based therapy interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
• Monitor and document patient progress through regular assessments, making adjustments to treatment plans to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create cohesive rehabilitation strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques for managing pain, performing at-home exercises, and understanding post-treatment care to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy practices and integrate new research into your treatment methodology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with a variety of orthopedic challenges, including sports injuries, arthritis, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. With an estimated patient load of 1-2 patients per hour, you will have the opportunity to provide individualized attention and establish lasting relationships with those in your care.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no disciplinary actions.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, or advanced degrees in the field are welcomed.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive environment.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or a willingness to obtain it.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is strongly preferred, though new graduates demonstrating enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems and data management tools to enhance patient care efficiency.
• Previous involvement in multidisciplinary teams that focus on comprehensive rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary between $90,000 and $100,000 per year commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
