Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to identify their individual goals and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, utilizing a range of techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, allowing for personalized attention and engagement with each patient.
• Educate patients about their conditions and motivate them to adhere to their treatment plans and progress towards their rehabilitation goals.
• Regularly evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and satisfaction.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using our EMR system, ensuring a clear record of services provided and patient progress.
• Promote a proactive approach to health and wellness through community outreach and education initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will develop specialized rehab programs aimed at restoring function, enhancing mobility, and educating patients on preventative strategies to minimize future issues. Qualifications

• A legitimate Physical Therapist license in Virginia, demonstrating compliance and no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic physical therapy, particularly in outpatient settings.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and exercise plan development, ensuring each patient receives customized care.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for effective documentation and patient management.
• A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While we value all dedicated candidates, we prefer applicants with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
