Work Environment

This Physical Therapist role is set within a vibrant outpatient office environment situated in the heart of Ashburn, Virginia. Working alongside a small, collaborative team comprised of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will have the opportunity to engage with patients in a community-oriented setting. Our facility is designed to foster a therapeutic atmosphere that encourages healing and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify rehabilitation goals and create tailored treatment plans.
• Administer and deliver effective therapeutic interventions that enhance patients' mobility, function, and overall well-being.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed therapies and document progress accurately using EMR software, such as WebPT.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise programs and home therapy regimens to encourage compliance and understanding.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to provide integrated patient care.
• Maintain a patient load of approximately two individuals per hour, ensuring focused and quality attention to each patient.
• Stay current with industry advancements and best practices in physical therapy, implementing evidence-based approaches in treatment.

Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, representing a diverse demographic of patients ranging from athletes to those recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions. Given the increase in patient demand, this role is pivotal in meeting our community's needs for quality orthopedic care. Your work will directly impact their recovery journey, guiding them in developing strength, flexibility, balance, and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Ashburn, Virginia, with no record of disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercise program development.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with patients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems like WebPT and the ability to utilize them for documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
