Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities in sports medicine. Working onsite within a collaborative environment, you will be supported by two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share your dedication to patient care. The facility fosters a warm and inclusive atmosphere, allowing staff and patients to thrive together. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a structured yet flexible environment conducive to patient and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to effectively identify and address patients' goals and therapeutic needs.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure high-quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to deliver tailored treatments that enhance clients' range of motion and functional mobility.
• Develop comprehensive, individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy and exercise protocols.
• Create and implement fitness and wellness programs designed to meet the specific requirements of each patient, enhancing their overall health.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation processes, fostering a positive attitude towards recovery and progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly in compliance with facility protocols.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly, using clear metrics to measure effectiveness and modifying treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Our patient population includes individuals seeking rehabilitation following accidents, surgical procedures, or chronic conditions affecting mobility. You will be their cornerstone of support throughout the rehabilitation journey, utilizing your expertise to empower them towards a pain-free and active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist license, ensuring compliant practice.
• A professional record free from any history of disciplinary actions or violations.
• Strong competency in manual therapy techniques, with an emphasis on patient-centric approaches.
• Ability to construct and execute effective exercise protocols tailored to diverse rehabilitation needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

We are specifically seeking candidates with at least two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings. Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is competitive, with an annual salary between USD 120,000 and 140,000, reflective of your expertise and experience.
