Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology, enabling us to deliver exceptional rehabilitation services tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Work Environment

This role is situated within a collaborative and supportive rehabilitation facility where you will work alongside two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). You will experience a dynamic work environment that emphasizes teamwork and professional development, while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care. Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' goals, abilities, and needs to develop personalized care plans.
• Manage a structured caseload, interacting with patients individually for one hour to provide focused treatment.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies that enhance clients' mobility and functional capabilities.
• Promote alternative therapies to reduce dependency on medications and surgical interventions.
• Create comprehensive rehabilitation plans using evidence-based practices, utilizing diverse treatment techniques such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Design specialized fitness and wellness initiatives tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Deliver high-quality, individualized care rooted in proven interventions, striving for enhanced patient outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey to achieve optimal physiological and emotional recovery.
• Foster a holistic approach to patient health by focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination, and a healthy lifestyle.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Evaluate and monitor treatment effectiveness, progressing patients as needed while maintaining transparent communication.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions and care provided as per facility guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily engage with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgical repairs, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population is diverse, with varying ages, backgrounds, and health histories. Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid state license in Virginia to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrate an unblemished professional record with no disciplinary actions associated with your license.
• Exhibit proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Show expertise in leveraging electronic medical record (EMR) software, notably WebPT, to support patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Have a minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, with direct patient care.
• Proficiency in advanced therapeutic techniques and a strong understanding of orthopedic conditions will enhance your ability to deliver effective patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, offering between USD 120,000 and USD 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
