Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehabilitation Specialist

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and treatment equipment. The clinic encompasses over 5,000 square feet, designed to facilitate a range of orthopedic services, sports medicine, and rehabilitation therapies. With a supportive team environment focused on collaboration, you will work alongside two other dedicated physical therapists, sharing knowledge and strategies to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations to assess patient mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans through evidence-based practices that meet each patient's goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and provide treatments to improve motion, mobility, and overall physical function.
• Conduct one-on-one patient sessions, allowing for focused care and addressing specific needs each 40 minutes.
• Educate patients on their conditions and provide guidance on exercises to promote healing and strengthen vulnerable areas.
• Advocate for patients by exploring non-surgical options and effectively managing care to decrease reliance on medications.
• Document all patient interactions and care protocols accurately in the Athena Health EMR system to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain proactive communication with other healthcare specialists to coordinate multidisciplinary care efforts for optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily caters to orthopedic patients, including both athletes and individuals requiring rehabilitation due to injury, post-surgical recovery, or chronic conditions affecting mobility. We focus on providing care for commercial insurance and privately paying patients, facilitating access to comprehensive rehabilitation services that help restore strength, balance, and coordination.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; an MS or DPT degree is preferred.
• A valid Virginia state license to practice physical therapy is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to assess and manage patients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
• A strong foundation in the latest treatment methodologies and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis on interpersonal behaviors and professional conduct.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with athletic populations and sports-related injuries is highly desired.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly Athena Health, which enhances operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in developing fitness and wellness programs tailored to patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 95,000, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
