Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Atlantic Health Therapy, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients, devising tailored treatment plans that align with individual therapeutic goals.
• Providing hands-on treatment utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques to restore function and alleviate pain.
• Educating patients about their conditions and involving them actively in the rehabilitation process.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines.
• Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare team members, including occupational therapists and physicians, to ensure coordinated care.
• Staying abreast of developments in physical therapy practices and incorporating new methods into your treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse patient population, including athletes seeking to recover from injuries, individuals recovering from surgery, and patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will be critical in guiding these individuals to regain their physical capabilities and thrive in their day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia (VA) with no history of sanctions.
• Demonstrated mastery of various manual therapy modalities and exercise programs.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for meticulous patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy or sports rehabilitation will have a distinct advantage. Your ability to develop effective exercise programs and your familiarity with evidence-based practices will be instrumental in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
