Work Environment

This position is onsite at our outpatient office in Ashburn, Virginia, where you will engage with a diverse patient population requiring outpatient physical therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized physical therapy treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess and analyze clients' physical abilities through diagnostic tests specific to muscles, nerves, joints, and functional capacities.
• Lead therapy sessions incorporating manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as massage and traction.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of care, ensuring adherence to the plan of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' home environments to recommend modifications that promote greater independence and safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in case discussions, and refine treatment approaches based on patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families about their physical therapy programs and the proper use of assistive devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with outpatient clients who may have a range of conditions affecting their mobility and physical function. These can include post-surgical patients, individuals recovering from injuries, and those with chronic pain or neurological conditions. Your expertise will greatly impact their rehabilitation journey, enabling them to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong foundation in physical therapy methodologies and an understanding of relevant federal and state regulations.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' clinical experience, preferably in outpatient or home healthcare settings.
• Proficient in the use of physical therapy evaluation and treatment tools.
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary health team, contributing to comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
