Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions through consultations and evaluations.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and formulating tailored treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient.
• Implementing therapeutic exercise techniques while guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey to ensure proper usage and safety.
• Providing manual therapies, such as massage and mobilization, to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Assisting patients in the proper use of mobility aids like wheelchairs, walkers, or orthotic devices.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously and adjusting treatment plans to meet established goals.
• Communicating treatment options and providing education to patients and their families regarding in-home exercises and recovery strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse population of patients, from children to older adults, with various conditions including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgery rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction.
• Proficient computer and word processing skills for documentation and record-keeping.
• A flexible approach and agility to meet the varying needs of patients and adapt to dynamic situations.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates who have at least two years of experience in outpatient physical therapy, particularly in a rehabilitation setting. Experience with pediatric or geriatric populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
