Healthactions Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist (OPT) to join our team at our outpatient facility located in Ashburn, Virginia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for patients dealing with functional limitations and disabilities.

Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will work in a supportive onsite outpatient office setting, where teamwork and shared values drive our successful approach to therapy. The weekly scheduled work hours are 40, with the potential for variable weekends based on patient needs. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery for our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients arriving with various orthopedic and neurological conditions.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance functional abilities, in line with evidence-based practices.
• Engaging with patients and significant others to explain the treatment process, goals, and expected outcomes, ensuring understanding and adherence.
• Documenting treatment results meticulously and communicating changes to referring physicians as necessary.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards of documentation.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff such as physical therapy aides and students, fostering their learning and growth.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives and continuous quality improvement (CQI) projects to enhance service delivery.
• Attending staff meetings and investing in your professional development through continuing education programs and in-service training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds, dealing primarily with orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and general computer applications.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates with at least two years of relevant work experience in an outpatient setting will be prioritized. Experience with physical therapy management systems and previous roles in team leadership or mentorship are also valuable.

Compensation and Benefits

Healthactions Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
