Technical Analyst – GPO EngineerResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Microsoft Active DirectoryAdminister GPO using Quest GPOAdminConfigure and enforce endpoint policies for Windows 10 and Windows 11Implement device configuration, compliance, and security policies using Microsoft IntunePerform GPO to Intune migration and support co-management strategiesApply and maintain security baselines aligned with Center for Internet Security benchmarks and other frameworks (STIG, NIST, internal standards)Leverage Tanium Comply to assess endpoint compliance against security benchmarksUse Tanium Enforce to remediate and enforce configuration drift in real timeTroubleshoot GPO, MDM, and compliance issues (policy conflicts, inheritance, sync failures)Manage OUs, security groups, Azure AD / Entra ID targetingAutomate tasks using PowerShellMaintain audit logs, reporting, and compliance documentationExperience & Requirements5–8 years of experience in endpoint engineering, Group Policy, and enterprise Windows environmentsStrong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Group Policy, and Microsoft IntuneHands-on administration of Windows Server and endpoints running Windows 10 / Windows 11Experience with Quest GPOADmin and Tanium (Comply & Enforce)Proficiency in PowerShell automation and troubleshootingStrong knowledge of security frameworks including Center for Internet Security benchmarks, STIG, and NIST, with experience enforcing compliance and remediationAbout the companyAvance Consulting is a global leader in innovative talent solutions for diverse industries.
