Training And Development SpecialistThe Training and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs that enhance employee performance and drive organizational success. This position plans, organizes, and deploys employee development and training events while supporting the department in a comprehensive range of learning and development activities.In this role, the candidate should be passionate about helping people learn and grow. Excellent communication skills, instructional design expertise, and the ability to translate complex information into engaging learning experiences are essential.Essential Duties/AccountabilitiesFacilitate and deliver live training sessions, workshops, and on-demand programs using recognized training techniques and toolsLead interactive learning experiences and manage group dynamics to optimize learner engagement and knowledge retentionCreate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and questions from diverse learnersAssess learner comprehension during facilitation and adjust delivery methods in real-time to meet diverse learning needsAssist employees with access and end-user support to the company-wide Learning Management SystemEnsure that the operational performance of the Learning Management System is on track to achieve business needsPartner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needsDesigns and develops criterion-based training assessmentsAssesses feedback from learners to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of trainingMaintain training documentation and filesAssist with internal/external audits of training documentationDeliver and administer enrollments of e-learning coursesAnalyze, design, and produce learning solutions using instructional design methodologyAssist/support the training needs assessment process for new and existing employeesPartner with other areas and provide learning history requestsDevelop training aids such as presentation materials, handouts, and workbooksStay current on training design and methodologiesAssist with organizing, coordinating, and scheduling virtual vendor training sessionsOther duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of one to three years of learning management and development and/or project management experience that demonstrates your ability to performProfessional certification (e.g., CPF) is a plusCurrent knowledge of effective learning and development methods; the ADDIE model is a plusOne to two years of experience facilitating training or workshops preferredFamiliarity with e-learning platforms and practicesProficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe CaptivateAbility to build rapport with employees and vendors.SkillsAbility to apply adult learning principles in training design, presentation, teaching, and evaluation methodsStrong live facilitation and public speaking skillsAbility to apply effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentStrong ability to multitask and deliver on deadlineAble to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the area of practiceStrong organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksAbility to work with a diverse population baseAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to work autonomously with initiativeWork Environment The employee is regularly required to work in an office environmentModerate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)While performing the duties of this position, employee may travel to Company locations and work in offices and other warehouse/storeroom environments.Position may require employee to travel between sites in all types of weather and employee may be subjected to all types of weather conditionsPhysical DemandsThe employee will be expected to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer in an office environment.Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Travel This position may have occasional travel outside the local area and overnight.
