Instructional Aide (7 hours/10 months), Morse/OSS Cambridge Public Schools Office of Student Services – Cambridge, Massachusetts Starting Date: Sep 1, 2026 Job Description Position: Instructional Aide (7 hr/10 months) – Morse School/Office of Student Services The Morse School serves children and families from every Cambridge neighborhood and over 40 countries. The school nurtures curiosity, intellectual skills, and healthy social and emotional development. Students, teachers, and staff collaborate to foster safety, belonging, civic responsibility, and appreciation for diverse origins, identities, beliefs, and learning styles. The school follows an inclusion model with English learners and students with moderate disabilities learning alongside general education peers with support from special educators, ESL teachers, related service providers, and interventionists. The Office of Student Services (OSS) provides support and services to students in Cambridge Public Schools, ensuring equitable access and success for students with disabilities and advanced learning needs. Duties Assist in the implementation of each student’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) Provide instruction support for students with disabilities Supervise students with disabilities during non‑instructional activities and transitions Collaborate with general education, special education, and related services staff Accommodate and modify for student learning; support general education teachers with accommodations in the general education setting Perform other duties as designated by the special educator or supervisor Assist with student toileting, when required by the school Required Skills & Qualifications Excellent oral communication skills Problem‑solving ability Experience working with students in urban environments Energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and flexible Ability to address physical, educational, and social‑emotional needs of students Willingness to be trained in de‑escalation and safe physical restraint techniques Physical ability to work on the floor and move around the room while supporting students and teachers Associate’s degree or 48 college credits from an accredited college or university Citizenship, residency, or work visa required How to Join Apply online at with a resume and cover letter outlining how your skills and experience meet the qualifications and how you heard about this opportunity.
