Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are excited to announce an opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our professional and compassionate team at The Traymore at Park Cities. Our dedicated team works collaboratively, utilizing cutting-edge therapy equipment to deliver comprehensive and personalized care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments of residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Create and carry out personalized therapy plans designed to meet each resident's unique needs.
- Work closely with our interdisciplinary team (including nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians) to develop integrated and holistic care strategies.
- Track resident progress diligently and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes.
- Provide education and guidance to residents and their families on effective communication strategies, safe swallowing techniques, and helpful home exercises.
- Maintain precise and current documentation for all assessments, progress notes, and care plans.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Texas State License (or be eligible for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- While experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred, we warmly encourage all passionate candidates to apply.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing compassionate care to our senior residents.
