Mortgage Loan Officer

Role Description: The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time hybrid role based in West Covina, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, meeting with prospective borrowers, and evaluating their financial profiles to recommend suitable loan products. Day-to-day tasks include guiding clients through the loan application process, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Officer will maintain ongoing communication with clients, real estate partners, and internal teams to provide timely updates and support. The role also involves building and managing a pipeline of leads, cultivating referral relationships, and meeting production and quality targets. Qualifications: Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar lending role, with a strong understanding of loan origination processes. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and current market trends, including regulatory and compliance requirements. Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending, including evaluating borrower eligibility and recommending appropriate loan products. Familiarity with Underwriting principles and documentation requirements to effectively collaborate with underwriting teams. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and support clients through complex financial decisions. Proficiency in mortgage software and basic financial analysis; strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between office-based and remote work. Relevant state licensing for mortgage loan origination or the ability to obtain required licenses within a defined timeframe. Prior experience in real estate, banking, or financial services is beneficial. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
