This role will be entirely remote, allowing you to provide therapy to clients in a flexible and convenient manner. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at City of Hope, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans tailored to individual clients, families, and couples, addressing a wide range of psychological and relational issues.

• Providing brief individual therapy sessions to clients in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP), evaluating their clinical progress and adapting treatment strategies as needed.

• Employing best practices in pain psychology to guide clients through their treatment journey, particularly those suffering from chronic pain or trauma, integrating therapeutic techniques that promote healing and empowerment.

• Building and maintaining strong therapeutic relationships with clients, family members, and other healthcare providers to foster an atmosphere of trust and support.
\n
• Utilizing sound clinical judgment while applying evidence-based methodologies to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
\n
• Documenting clinical notes and maintaining organized, up-to-date patient files, ensuring compliance with health and safety privacy laws.

• Coaching clients to cultivate positive changes in their lives, assisting them in developing coping strategies and healthier behaviors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population including individuals, couples, children, and families facing various challenges related to mental health, relationships, chronic pain, and trauma. You will be tasked with understanding the unique dynamics of each family system and the individual experiences of clients, allowing for a holistic approach to therapy that takes into account the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors affecting their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.

• Must possess a valid license (LMFT) to practice in the state.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably within a healthcare setting.
