Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (Based on experience)

As a Commercial Painter at Piech Decorating, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and high-performance protective finishes to commercial buildings, corporate offices, retail spaces, and multi-family structures. You will collaborate closely with project managers, crew members, and clients to ensure timely project completion while upholding our rigorous safety and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Meticulous Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, scrape, patch holes/cracks, mask, and prime surfaces to secure a smooth, durable, and uniform finish.
• Expert Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, stain, epoxies, and specialized finishes to various substrates using brushes, rollers, and professional airless or HVLP spray equipment.
• Active Facility Management: Execute painting tasks in a clean, organized manner to minimize disruption to the client's staff, residents, or daily operations.
• Quality Assurance & Touch-Ups: Inspect completed work for drips, runs, or uneven coverage, performing necessary adjustments to exceed strict client quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Properly clean and maintain sprayers, pumps, brushes, rollers, and scaffolding to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, particularly when working at heights with ladders, scaffolding, and scissor/boom lifts.
• Documentation & Teamwork: Keep accurate logs of materials used and tasks completed. Maintain open, professional communication with site supervisors and clients.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional commercial painting experience preferred. Experience with retail, office, and multi-family is a significant plus.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of commercial surface preparation and high-production spray techniques.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy objects for extended periods. Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License is required. An active OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification is highly advantageous (PDI will help right-fit candidates acquire certifications as needed).
• Professional Attributes: Punctuality, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude are essential for success in this role.
