Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Innovation Design Unit)

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Days (4x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48 hours/week options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in an inpatient Innovation Design Unit focused on adult medical-surgical patients, operating within a primary nursing care model with ratios of 1:4–5 (days) and 1:5–6 (nights)
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
• Participate in testing and validating new models of care, innovative technology (including virtual nursing, virtual sitter, ambient monitoring, RTLS, and interactive patient platforms), and varied facility design concepts
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs (where assigned)
• Float frequently within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, potentially including an off-site campus
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date may be adjusted if license is not in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, obtained at a large, urban hospital or Level I Academic Medical Center
• Proficiency with EPIC charting is required
• Must be prepared to float frequently to various units to meet staffing needs
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience working in a progressive care or step-down environment
• Familiarity with innovative care delivery models, virtual care technology, or facility design initiatives
