Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult oncology patients on a mixed-acuity specialty care unit, including those receiving high-dose chemotherapy and complex medication and blood product administration (travelers do not administer chemotherapy)
• Manage care for up to five Med Surg patients; patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights
• Administer IV drips as required across all floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
• Float frequently within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units and campuses
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (Level I Academic Medical Center experience required for first-time travelers to be considered)
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting is required
• Must be prepared to float frequently to various units to meet staffing needs
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification or oncology nursing experience preferred
• Prior experience in a mixed-acuity or specialty care unit environment
