Rehab Preauthorization Specialist The Preauthorization Specialist initiates requests for authorization of patient services verifies benefits data enters/documents authorizations and communicates status of authorizations to staff. Performs clerical duties as needed. Also performs secretarial duties including typing scheduling filing answering telephones and making copies. Completes departmental statistics patient charges and related duties. Greets assists and directs patients visitors and other callers in the department.
