Director of Project Management

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Green Meadows Partners is seeking an experienced  Director of Project Management for a growing organization in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and knows how to balance customer relationships, project execution, team leadership, and financial performance.

The Director will oversee key customer accounts and lead a team of Project Management professionals responsible for executing complex projects from start to finish. This role requires someone who can see the big picture while remaining closely involved in project details, problem-solving, customer communication, and overall account performance.

For candidates outside the Virginia Beach area,  a relocation package is available!

What You'll Do:

• Lead the overall execution and performance of assigned customer accounts and projects
• Mentor, train, and develop Project Managers while providing hands-on guidance when project challenges arise
• Work closely with Estimating, Engineering, Production, Logistics, and subcontractors to keep projects moving forward
• Identify and resolve obstacles that could impact schedules, customer expectations, or profitability
• Monitor project progress and ensure status reports, forecasts, and internal reporting remain accurate and current
• Lead customer update meetings and maintain proactive communication with senior customer contacts
• Develop a strong understanding of each customer's brand, business needs, and implementation standards
• Ensure customer requirements and standards are incorporated throughout project execution
• Maintain financial accountability for assigned programs and projects, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and financial reporting
• Identify opportunities for cost savings across production, shipping, and installation
• Build a culture of training, accountability, and continuous improvement within the Project Management team
• Maintain a strong focus on the successful management and execution of individual projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
• Approximately 7+ years of related experience in a manufacturing, service, project management, or similar environment preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and managing customer relationships
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and project profitability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
• Experience with EPICOR, Microsoft Teams, and/or Smartsheet is a plus
• Ability to travel periodically as needed
