Assistant Service Manager

Frank's Supply Company is a major supplier of construction tools and equipment with our focus on both sales and rental. We are currently seeking a qualified ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER for our Albuquerque, NM location.

Summary of Position Responsibilities:

The Assistant Service Manager supports the daily operations of the service department by ensuring rental equipment is maintained, repaired, and ready for customer use. This role assists with supervising technicians, coordinating workflow, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Assistant Service Manager works closely with the Service Manager to maximize equipment up time and ensure efficient department operations.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Assist in managing the daily operations of the service department.
* Coordinate equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
* Schedule and prioritize work orders to meet customer needs and business deadlines.
* Support and supervise service technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Ensure rental equipment meets quality, safety, and operational standards before being released.
* Maintain accurate service records, repair histories, and maintenance schedules.
* Assist in managing parts inventory and ordering replacement parts when necessary.
* Communicate with customers regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and service recommendations.
* Work with the rental and sales teams to ensure equipment availability.
* Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
* Help resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
* Assist with budgeting, cost control, and departmental performance goals.
* May prepare special reports for management.
* Perform special projects, participate in project teams, and other tasks as assigned by management

* Rental Industry experience essential
* Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, diesel and small engine systems
