What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active California Mod/Severe or ESN Credential — requirement for consideration
- Experience teaching special education at the elementary level, preferably in mod/severe or ESN environments
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and existing staff
- Ability to create individualized lesson plans and provide differentiated instruction
- Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and adaptive classroom community
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities in this Role:
- Design and implement IEP-driven instruction for 4th-6th grade students
- Develop classroom routines that accommodate a range of learning and behavioral needs
- Modify curriculum and activities to support student access and engagement
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure growth
- Cultivate a safe, nurturing environment that emphasizes student strengths
