Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Lead the way in supporting student success as a full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with experienced behavioral staff and administration, serving multiple school sites where your skills will be instrumental in shaping positive student outcomes. Work alongside another specialist and the SpEd Administrator to consult, design, and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions across 3-4 assigned schools within the district.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active BCBA certification or Tier 3/4 licensure as a Special Education Teacher (required)
• Direct experience in school-based behavioral intervention, positive behavior supports, and functional behavioral assessments
• Ability to provide staff training and work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong skills in de-escalation techniques and a calm, flexible approach in crisis situations
• Proficient in gathering and analyzing behavioral data to guide interventions and program planning
• Understanding of individualized education plan (IEP) processes and compliance with state/federal regulations
• RBTs do not qualify for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with educational teams to develop and refine behavior intervention strategies
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write support plans for students
• Deliver positive behavioral supports, reinforcement, and redirection
• Implement and potentially utilize restrictive procedures as necessary for safety
• Train staff in behavior management recommendations
• Maintain accurate, data-driven records to monitor student progress
• Assist in the safety and positive culture of school environments
• Respond calmly and effectively during crisis situations
• Ensure compliance with all district and board policies

This full-time, onsite position typically offers a schedule from 8:30 a.m. – 4:10 p.m., giving you meaningful daily engagement with staff and students.
