Executive Assistant

The Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) is seeking a highly organized and professional Executive Assistant to provide advanced operational, fiscal, and administrative support to our Finance department. This role primarily serves as a dedicated executive assistant to the Deputy Executive Director - CFO, while supporting leadership across our Finance department in a fast-paced environment.

The anticipated hourly starting rate for the ideal candidate is $25.43.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience providing high-level administrative support and office management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Must obtain a Florida Notary Public designation within six months of employment
  • Proficient to expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background screening and drug test, and meet all requirements to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge prior to employment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex executive calendars, prioritize competing meeting requests and coordinate logistics for high-level division and board meetings
  • Coordinate weekly, quarterly and annual meetings, including recording and distributing detailed meeting notes
  • Manage the coordination and timely submission of action items for Board of Port Commissioners and Airports Special Management Committee meetings
  • Facilitate complex travel arrangements and drafting of cost-effectiveness justifications
  • Review, proofread and format executive-level correspondence, reports and presentations, ensuring strict consistency of content, language and punctuation
  • Monitor project lifecycles, track work-in-progress timelines and communicate executive directives to ensure all division-wide deadlines are met
  • Assist with the timely processing of biweekly payroll and maintain secure, organized payroll records and documentation
  • Initiate departmental personnel processes related to recruitment, hiring, job changes and separation of service
