Consulting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher
Location: Anderson, IN
District: Anderson Preparatory Academy
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Options | Daytime School Hours
Caseload: K–12 Students
We are hiring a Consulting Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support K–12 students at Anderson Preparatory Academy in Anderson, Indiana. In this consulting role, you will work directly with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, while providing expert guidance to classroom teachers and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Consult with general education teachers, special education staff, and administrators regarding classroom accommodations, listening devices, and accessibility strategies.
Assist with IEP development, monitoring progress toward communication and academic goals.
Evaluate student needs and recommend auxiliary aids, assistive technology, or environmental modifications.
Requirements:
Licensure: Active Indiana Educator License with Exceptional Needs: Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility for Indiana licensure).
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related field.
