Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with a strong drive for prospecting, building relationships, and closing new business. This role is for someone who thrives on the challenge of winning new business and expanding market share. Culinary enthusiasts encouraged to apply! We are a proud local company located in St. Charles, MO. Key Responsibilities Prospecting and lead generation: Actively seek new sales leads and prospects through cold calling, asking for referrals, social selling (LinkedIn), networking events, industry events, and other outbound strategies. Business development: Identify potential clients, especially at the decision-maker, chef, kitchen manager, and owner level. Sales pipeline management: Build and maintain a robust and healthy sales pipeline to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas. Consultative selling: Listen to prospective clients' needs and challenges to create and deliver customized, value-driven solutions. Sales process management: Manage the full sales cycle, including identifying and qualifying opportunities, competitive analysis, demonstrating products/services, negotiating terms, and closing deals. Market expertise: Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to position our products/services effectively. CRM management: Diligently update prospects, deals, customer data and sales activities in the CRM system daily to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting. Compensation This position offers a base salary ($50K+ based on experience) with a performance‑based bonus structure. Total compensation is dependent on individual results and new business acquisition. Monthly car allowance Company cell phone and laptop. Position Requirements Experience: A proven track record of success in a "hunter" sales role, with experience in outbound prospecting and closing new business. Drive and resilience: Must be highly self‑motivated, results‑driven, and possess the ability to persevere in the face of rejection. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and influence decision‑makers. Presentation skills: Demonstrated ability to create and deliver persuasive and professional presentations to a range of audiences. Strategic thinking: An entrepreneurial and strategic mindset for identifying new opportunities and finding innovative ways to overcome sales obstacles. Product knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and articulate the features and value proposition of complex products, services, and solutions. Technical skills: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office, and other sales‑related technology.
