We are seeking a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient interactions, ensuring exceptional patient experience, and maintaining accurate patient information. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and computer skills, as well as excellent communication skills to facilitate effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
• Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
• Handle medical collections in a professional manner while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
• Follow Ampelis policies and proceedures to maintain an organized system for medical records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with medical systems and processes is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal/non verbal, and written, to interact professionally and friendly with patients and staff.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage.
