Speech Language Pathologist - SLP / Speech Therapist
Ignite Communication in the Vibrant Shores of Florida Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
What if your next career adventure was more than just a job? As a Speech Language Pathologist in the stunning coastal splendor of Miami, you will do more than treat speech and swallowing disorders. You'll help individuals express their thoughts, embrace their identities, and foster connections that span generations from toddlers mastering their first sounds to seniors regaining their ability to communicate clearly.
This position offers a remarkable opportunity to work with a diverse population in a dynamic environment that combines outpatient therapy with infrequent inpatient interventions. Whether you are passionate about supporting children in language acquisition, assisting adults with neurological speech clarity, or guiding the elderly toward cognitive-linguistic recovery, you will find a fulfilling career path in our inclusive setup.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups utilizing standardized tests and hands-on observation.
Formulate individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communicative, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to design integrated care plans.
Provide education and resources for patients and family members to ensure progress continues outside of therapy sessions.
Contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments as needed to guarantee continuity of patient care.
Maintain thorough and precise documentation in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development and community learning opportunities to enhance your expertise.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), unless you are already ASHA certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatments for a breadth of clients, with an insightful grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders across different life stages.
Outstanding communication skills that connect effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capability to adapt therapy methods to accommodate diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Strong clinical acumen and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
Attractive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
Flexible scheduling providing a healthy work-life balance and a varied patient outreach.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatric care, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.
Paid time off (PTO) alongside holiday remuneration.
A range of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
Investment in your growth through continuing education reimbursement and professional advancement opportunities.
A collaborative, supportive atmosphere focused on delivering high-quality care and lifelong learning.
Your role here transcends conventional speech therapy; you'll be weaving threads of understanding that bind communities together. Every word reestablished and every conversation sparked is a testament to your dedication to profound change, restoring dignity and identity through the power of communication.
Work in harmony with a passionate team that treats each other with closeness and reverence, creating an environment where collaboration flourishes and competition is left behind. You'll be entrusted with every patient's story, aiding them in articulating their narrative.
Embrace the pulse of Miami, a vibrant city where the rhythm of daily life intertwines seamlessly with sun-soaked beaches, eclectic neighborhoods, and a multicultural tapestry that enriches the spirit. Here, life is an ever-evolving blend of vibrant creativity and warm community spirit.
Families stroll along sun-kissed shores or dine in tropical gardens filled with the fragrance of world cuisines. Outdoor enthusiasts explore lush parks, engage in thrilling water sports, or spend leisurely Sundays discovering local art fairs and farmers' markets showcasing the best of regional agriculture.
In Miami, creativity is evident everywhere, from stunning street art to intimate music venues pulsating with the sounds of local talent, each festival beckoning merry crowds to celebrate diverse cultures. Whether you're an aspiring therapist or a seasoned expert eager for new challenges, you will find the perfect conditions to flourish both personally and professionally.
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who embodies not just results but also compassion. Someone who sees a hesitant child and imagines their future filled with expressive language, who listens to the faltering voice of a stroke survivor and sees resilience.
You could be a pediatric expert excited to broaden your impact to adult patients or a neurologically focused clinician wanting to integrate early interventions into your holistic approach.
No matter your specialty, if you're eager to serve with empathy and lead with expertise, we invite you to join our mission.
Join us in a community that honors communication, connection, and the brave steps it takes to start anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our compassionate team and help others rediscover theirs.
