Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant - Mystic, CT Our client, a professional services-focused organization, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience across a variety of accounting functions, including account reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Assist with routine accounting activities and maintenance of financial records Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Support financial reporting and analyze variances in accounting data Prepare and maintain reports using Excel and other business systems Contribute to operational and process improvement initiatives Assist with data management, system updates, and record maintenance projects Participate in special projects and provide general accounting support as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and reporting requirements are met Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; Finance, Economics, or related field considered Prior accounting internship or relevant professional experience preferred Exposure to E‑Finance, Frontline, UKG, MUNIS, or similar platforms is a plus Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
