Transcendent Healing Therapeutic Services is seeking a passionate and skilled Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in mood disorders to join our dedicated team. This full-time position offers a remote work setting, allowing counselors the flexibility to engage with clients effectively while balancing personal and professional commitments. The office operates primarily from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to meet client needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms and how they impact clients' day-to-day functioning.

• Collaboratively develop and implement personalized treatment plans designed to address individual client goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful change and improve mental health outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment trajectories, and effective self-care strategies, empowering them to take charge of their mental health.

• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic effectiveness and client satisfaction.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other treatment professionals to provide well-rounded and integrated care.

• Stay informed about the latest scientific research and developments in the field of mood disorders, integrating newfound knowledge into practice to enhance treatment strategies.

• Keep meticulous, confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans while adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to continuously refine clinical skills and knowledge.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to reduce stigma surrounding mood disorders and promote a broader understanding of mental health issues.

You will primarily work with a diverse client base experiencing a range of mood disorders, including chronic depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Understanding the varied backgrounds and experiences of your clients will be key to providing effective, culturally competent care.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
\n

• Ideally, you will have two or more years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods such as CBT and DBT is highly desired.

• An understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatric professionals is advantageous.

• A documented history of successful treatment outcomes with mood disorder clients will be beneficial.
