Production Supervisor

Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor in TN.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
Shift: 2nd Shift
Reports To: Production Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a second-shift manufacturing team in a fast-paced food production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring employee safety, maintaining production efficiency, and driving quality standards while leading up to 20 hourly team members. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, food manufacturing experience, and the flexibility to support changing business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop up to 20 hourly production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and attendance goals.
• Coordinate daily production activities to ensure schedules are met while minimizing downtime and waste.
• Monitor production metrics, labor utilization, and equipment performance to drive operational efficiency.
• Enforce food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Conduct shift meetings, provide employee feedback, and assist with performance management and corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless plant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead employees while holding team members accountable to performance expectations.
• Proficient with basic computer systems, production reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
