Labor Supplier Management Consultant - Technology, Data & Operations

Job Summary The Labor Supplier Management Consultant is responsible for developing and managing complex and strategic supplier relationships to ensure alignment with Truist’s strategic objectives. This role leads the supplier management process, including strategy, onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing performance monitoring, focusing on relationship management, financial and cost management, and the enforcement of Service Level Agreements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. The role supports cross‑functional teams to drive value, optimize costs, and mitigate supplier‑related risks. Responsibilities Supplier Strategy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement supplier strategies that align with Truist’s business objectives; identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet strategic needs and compliance requirements. Supplier Onboarding and Due Diligence: Lead the onboarding process for suppliers, ensuring they meet Truist’s standards for quality, security, and compliance; conduct thorough due diligence, including financial stability, operational capabilities, and risk factors. Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and business stakeholders; serve as primary point of contact and facilitate regular communication to ensure alignment and address issues promptly. Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs); conduct regular performance reviews, analyzing KPIs to assess supplier effectiveness and identify improvement areas. Cost Management and Optimization: Collaborate with finance, business stakeholders, sourcing, and other departments to develop financial plans related to supplier engagements; identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities while ensuring service quality. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; monitor supplier compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, taking corrective actions when necessary. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless supplier management processes; provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies; lead initiatives to improve supplier management processes, driving innovation and efficiency. Contract Management: Oversee contract negotiation and management, ensuring favorable terms; manage renewal and termination of supplier contracts in a timely manner. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present reports on supplier performance and cost management; maintain accurate records of supplier engagements, contracts, and performance evaluations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work‑related experience. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business operations or related professional roles. Strong knowledge of business processes and technology applications. Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Preferred: Banking or financial services experience; knowledge of Fieldglass and ARIBA; ARCHER supplier management responsibilities required by the Third Party Risk Management program; experience managing labor suppliers for onshore/offshore.
