Business Development Manager - Integrated Solutions

Within our Global Product Group – Grid and Power Quality Solutions and Services (GPQSS), we are continuously evolving and enhancing our portfolio to deliver the full value of Hitachi Energy’s technology and innovation. Our mission is to support global customers in meeting their growing energy demands while improving efficiency, conserving resources, and reducing emissions through effective and scalable business models. In this role, you will drive innovation and growth across our “At the Edge” portfolio, expanding beyond today’s focus areas. Your primary focus will be on Integrated Solutions segments, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), to support customers as data center electrical demand continues to grow and evolve. This position is strongly supported by the deployment of advanced, forward‑looking business models and solution offerings. You will achieve success by driving business development across the North American (NAM) market, strengthening system and solutions marketing activities, and enhancing business intelligence to enable early market entry and deep customer collaboration. You will play a key role in implementing strategy while working closely with customers to co‑develop optimized solutions and deploy the most effective commercial and delivery models. Leveraging Hitachi Energy’s strong portfolio and system integration capabilities—combining Hitachi technologies with third‑party products and services—you will collaborate closely with the Front‑End organization and the Marketing and Sales communities to ensure a seamless customer journey from early engagement through execution. How You’ll Make an Impact Work with existing key customers, markets, and segments—particularly within Integrated Solutions—to strengthen relationships and promote our expanding portfolio Explore new solutions by actively listening to customer needs and market trends, collaborating with customers and parallel industry partners to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions Collaborate with Application Engineering and Business Development teams to define advanced technical solutions aligned with evolving market demands Introduce and deploy commercial mechanisms such as Frame Agreements, Capacity Reservation Agreements, and Base Load concepts to secure early opportunities and optimize value Ensure solutions meet customer requirements related to delivery timelines, technical optimization, and business models Establish strategic partnerships and long‑term relationships with parallel industries and key suppliers Develop and implement new business models and integrated solutions using both Hitachi Energy and third‑party offerings Live Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies, external regulations, procedures, and guidelines Your Background Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related discipline Minimum 8 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Operations roles with similar scope and responsibility within the Electrical and Power industry (data center experience strongly preferred) Demonstrated ability to engage customers at executive, technical, and operational levels Experience working across regions in multicultural, global environments Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills Must have authorization to work in the United States More About Us We offer a holistic and competitive benefits package designed to support your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing, while enabling personal and professional growth.
