Pay Rate: $21.00-$22.00
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
(Minimum 40 hours/week, occasional evenings/weekends may be required)

Job Summary

Stride Staffing is seeking a Mold Setup Technician. This position is responsible for setting up and maintaining molds for injection molding machines, ensuring proper operation and product quality, and performing general maintenance and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare machines for mold installation.
Safely install molds into injection molding machines.
Connect water lines, knockout bars, hydraulic lines, air lines, switches, hoppers, dryers, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
Align and adjust molds to ensure proper relationship with the machine.
Control the flow of materials and coolant into the machine.
Monitor the molding process for any issues and make adjustments as needed.
Perform minor mold maintenance, such as keeping mold surfaces clean during runs.
Troubleshoot problems with mold operations.
Assist with machine and equipment-related problems.
May be responsible for material handling duties, including delivering raw materials, removing finished goods, and assisting in setting up assembly operations.
Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager.

Requirements
Minimum of 1 year related experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Basic computer skills are required.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Rapid hand and eye coordination.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Moderately active role with the majority of the work done in the production area.
Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required on a daily basis, as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
Operates in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is not maintained throughout the year.
Potential exposure to equipment, noise, and/or chemicals depending on the specific job.
Safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE may be required in production areas.
