2026-2027 Breast Imaging and Intervention Clinical Fellowship Position UT Health San Antonio Location: San Antonio, Texas Type: Fellowship Salary: $81,086.75 Subspecialties: Breast Radiology Benefits information: The Breast Imaging and Intervention Clinical Fellowship is a one-year Non‑Standard Training Program at UT Health San Antonio. The fellowship’s purpose is to train board‑certified or board‑eligible radiologists to be qualified to interpret breast imaging using the latest technologies and to address the complexities of breast imaging and intervention. Instruction is led by board‑certified and fellowship‑trained radiologists with several years of expertise in their field. UT Health San Antonio and University Hospital have nationally recognized lung transplant programs and a Level 1 Trauma Center. A Fellow’s Experience Includes Advanced training in interpretation of breast imaging studies, detecting, diagnosing and treating presentations of benign and malignant breast pathologies. Performance in image‑guided procedures specific to the breast and related structures: breast ultrasound and interventional procedures such as lesion localization, guided core biopsies, fine‑needle and cyst aspirations. Communication with patients regarding outcomes of breast imaging and procedures, both positive and negative results of specific tests, and coordination with other practitioners. Compliance with the Mammography Quality and Standards Act (MQSA) requirements and use of the BiRads system of breast disease classification. Understanding the practice requirements of surgical, medical, and radiation oncology specialists involved in the multidisciplinary care of breast patients.
