Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology

Somnia Anesthesia is seeking a Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology to lead a dynamic team in Stockton, CA. This leadership position involves partnering with Nursing and OB leadership within a regional referral/high-acuity program at a leading academic hospital system with Magnet nursing designation. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a top-rated hospital in the Sacramento area, known for its four-season recreation and proximity to Napa Valley.

- 2 Obstetric Operating Rooms
- 8-10 Labor & Delivery Rooms
- 3,000+ deliveries annually
- Level III NICU (30 beds)
Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic, collegial team of anesthesiologists
- Partner with Nursing and OB leadership
- Primary Assignment to Obstetrics with periodic rotation to cover the main OR and NORA environments
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and hospital leadership
- Participate in monthly QI, QC, and PI safety committees and obstetrical and perinatal committee meetings
Compensation
- $575,000 Annual Stipend
- $30,000 Annual Stipend
- Up to $3,000 annually for CME
- $50,000 commencement bonus
- Relocation assistance/allowance up to $10,000 for out-of-state or out-of-area candidates (receipts required)

Requirements
- Active state license
- BC/BE in Anesthesiology
- Obstetrical anesthesia experience required
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
- Experience working in a high-acuity obstetric environment
