Payroll Administrator

A growing Houston-based manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its team. This position is responsible for managing multi-state payroll operations, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance, and partnering with HR, Finance, and Operations to deliver exceptional service to employees. Responsibilities Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Review and audit employee timekeeping records for accuracy Maintain payroll records, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits Process payroll for contract employees and staffing agencies Prepare payroll reconciliations and month-end reports Process employee new hires, status changes, and terminations in payroll systems Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a high level of customer service Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll audits Partner with HR, Finance, and department leaders to ensure payroll compliance Maintain confidentiality while supporting continuous process improvements Qualifications 3+ years of payroll administration experience Experience processing multi-state payroll Strong knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, wage and hour regulations, and compliance Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, ExponentHR, Paylocity, or similar Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing or industrial payroll experience Experience with timekeeping systems Understanding of shift differentials and overtime calculations Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPP certification Why Consider This Opportunity Join a stable, growing manufacturing organization Collaborative team environment Opportunity to own the payroll function Competitive compensation and benefits If you're interested in learning more, apply today or send me a direct message.
