Radiation TherapistOur client, a public university company, is looking for a radiation therapist for their Ann Arbor, MI location.Responsibilities:The essential characteristic duties and responsibilities include:Administer megavoltage x-ray and electron beam radiation therapy treatments via Varian medical systems.Conduct quality assurance checks on treatment plans prior to delivery.Use IGRT techniques to localize tumors and safely deliver treatment plans.Provide education and instructions to patients and care providers regarding treatment procedures, skin marks, diet, self-care.Maintain equipment in clean and proper working order.Maintain appropriate and accurate records of patient care.Ensure the safety of patients and staff while in radiation areas.Communicate patient information to radiation oncologists, nurses, dosimetrists, and other appropriate personnel.Participate in the clinical training of radiation therapy students.Ability to conduct treatment simulations and fabricate patient immobilization devices.Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Graduation from an accredited program in radiation therapy technology is necessary.
